Odoo ranks its integration partners based on various criteria to ensure a certain level of skill and performance. But what do these statuses really mean and how are they assigned? We explain everything in this complete guide.
The 4 Odoo partnership statuses
Odoo distinguishes four levels of partnership:
Status | Description |
Gold | Official partner at the highest level of recognition and experience, with strong references and in-depth expertise. |
Silver | Recognized partner who has demonstrated reliable skills and consistent results. |
Ready | Developing partner, progressing towards higher statuses. |
Learning | Beginner partner, in training and discovering Odoo practices. |
⚠️Important: to be an official partner, it is necessary to pay an annual financial contribution. Without this payment, a partner remains limited to the “learning” status.
Odoo ranks its partners based on the number of certified employees on the major versions of the software (V17, V18, V19…).
One certification is required for 1 person (Ready), 3 people (Silver)and 6 people (Gold), to ensure a level of competence that meets Odoo standards.
→ At Odovia Integration, we ensureto always keep our certifications up to date, to stay informed of the latest developments and provide our clients with optimal expertise.
The retention rate is calculated as follows:
If a customer cancels their subscription, the retention rate automatically decreases.
→ At Odovia Integration, we enjoy a retention rate of 96%. One of the best among Canadian partners.
The number of licenses purchased and abandoned over the last 12 months is taken into account:
Practical example:
- New customer purchases 40 licenses → +40
- The customer increases their licenses from 40 to 44 → +4
- The customer reduces their licenses from 44 to 30 → -14
How Odoo evaluates its partners
Comparison table of requirements by status
Status | In learning | Ready | Silver | Gold |

Customer retention | Not measured | no minimum | ≥70% | ≥80% |
License growth | Not measured | 10 new | 75 new | 300 new |
💡 Note: The system primarily highlights partners who sell the most licenses and have certified employees.
Our opinion: a useful but improvable system
The Odoo ranking remains useful for identifying the most active and certified partners, but it values the best license sellers more than the best technical integrators.
- Technical quality not guaranteed:certification does not necessarily reflect the actual competence of employees or their market knowledge.
- Limited protection against poor integrations:an unsatisfied customer will rarely leave Odoo, but may change partners. The new partner then benefits from the customer without recognition for having retained them.
Odovia Integration is the first Silver Odoo partner in Canada.
This positioning also reflects a deliberate choice: to support fewer very large accounts, but more accessible clients, closely followed and supported in the long term.
This approach allows us to guarantee:
- Real proximity with our clients
- Stable teams dedicated to each project
- Consistent implementation quality, without compromise
Being Silver is therefore not a hindrance to quality — quite the opposite. It is often a sign of a partner who prioritizes project success and customer satisfaction over the race for license volumes.
At Odovia Integration, we believe that the quality of an integrator is not measured solely by their status, but by the rigor of their methodology, the expertise of their teams, and the tangible success of the projects delivered.
